Reignite Your Soul in Tuscany

  • Monteriggioni Italy (map)

Tuscany retreat

Join Amy and Janet to connect with tradition and reignite your soul under the Tuscan Sun!

Our signature Nectar retreat that speaks to the soul is located on a restored 13th-century farm, nestled inside an evergreen forest and overlooking the rolling Tuscan Hills, you will embrace Italy’s oldest traditions. Your ultimate escape to restore balance, where yoga meets culture and history and just minutes away from the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni. The villa dedicates itself to the organic cultivation of olive trees, vineyards, fruit, vegetables and herbs, which are used to prepare farm-to-table meals daily.

Together, we will unwind, reconnect, and “retreat” ourselves. We love yoga, we love to travel, and creating magic that happens only on a retreat!

Your Teachers & Hosts

Amy and Janet are yogis, teachers, wanderlusters, and lovers of life.

These two are dedicated teachers, students and world travellers. When then aren’t planning yoga classes, they are planning their next holiday.

When it comes to yoga, their practices are strong, creative, and always a bit cheeky! Both of these experienced teachers ooze kindness in every conversation and interaction they have with the people around them. They are inclusive and believe every student and person in the room deserves to be seen. You will feel at home in their presence and inspired to live your life to the fullest.

They are also passionate about travelling, exploring the world and believe the best escape is all about balance on and off the mat. Expect to be fully immersed, escape the daily hustle, feel balanced and nourished with spice of adventure!

We can’t wait to hang out with you!

The Destination

The estate is located in Tuscany, Italy: a bucket list destination, overlooking the rolling Tuscan Hills.

Ebbio Estate is within easy reach of nearby cities, including Siena (10km) and Florence (45km), and a short walk from Monteriggioni, in the heart of the region of Tuscany, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and heritage.

With a spacious indoor yoga shala, outdoor patio, and nine uniquely designed rooms with earthly colours and windows to enjoy the scenery of Siena. There are plenty of zen spaces to relax and unwind with hammocks on site, whether it’s sunbathing, reading or star-gazing, you will feel completely immersed.

The magical location offers seclusion and wanderlust surrounded by rolling hills and provides a true sanctuary in which to escape the pressures of busy life and explore the sights and sounds of this beautiful country.

The Organic Farm

Just like yoga, a good meal nourishes all the senses and brings people together.

We believe a retreat is only as good as the food! Meals will be served at large communal tables, with farm-to-table produce on the outdoor patio. Ebbio uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients, primarily grown on-site, which are certified organic. The ultimate farm-to-table retreat. Their mantra is ‘food is medicine’, and their meals complement what’s in season at their farm. Mediterranean flavours meet new creations in their healthy and vibrant cooking.

We have worked closely with Ebbio and their chefs to create meals that are rich in nutrients, organic and vegetarian, to leave you feeling nourished and refreshed. Please let us know on your booking form if you have any allergies or dietaries.

Find Balance

The yoga shala embraces heritage and earthy colours. The perfect space to dive deep into the practice.

With hardwood floors and a modern-rustic feel, you will be immersed not just in the practice of yoga but also in the natural surroundings. Just like our yoga practice, Ebbio embraces history and tradition, with a cosy and welcoming feel. This retreat is all about balance. Farm-to-table produce with daily yoga and a cheeky vino at night!

Yoga Styles

Dynamic Flow

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe yin yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. We believe in the balance, ease, and wholeness that Yin brings to students. These practices give you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is the practice of using different sounds and instruments to create a deep connection with self, and your intuition and improve your emotional well-being. Amy will guide you through sound healing sessions using pure quartz crystal singing bowls, incorporating mediation techniques, and using mantra and intention setting to allow you to dive deep into relaxation. Sound healing baths will be practised lying down using props to support the body, offering a space to rest, unwind and heal through the frequency of sound.

Gimme More

Throughout the week we will include special yoga workshops with Amy & Janet, as well as sprinkle in pranayama and meditation experiences for a complete practice.

Outdoor & Foodie Adventures

This retreat will be a cultural immersion in everything the area has to offer. We have planned some very special experiences. You'll start with a tour of the farm foraging for produce in the onsite organic vegetable garden, followed by a cooking lesson with Ebbios chef in making gnocchi and the local favourite, cantuccini.

We love a day trip and our retreats offer the perfect opportunity to explore the local area. During the retreat, we will visit to a local vineyard where we will taste local wine along with a food pairing of local produce. For the ultimate day trip, we will visit Sienna on the way back to the villa to wander the cobblestone streets and indulge in an afternoon Gelato, of course!!

We understand the importance of rest and exploration, so our retreats always ensure plenty of free time to relax and explore at your own pace. Tuscany is renowned for its rich culture and history, with nearby villages and vineyards. Every evening, we will unwind in the tranquillity of our hammocks, gazing up at the starry sky.

FAQ

Who is this retreat for?

Our retreats are available to anyone who is wanting to take a week off from their busy life and experience a week of yoga, nourishing food and connect with like minded people in the most dreamy places. Whether you’re a regular practitioner or new to yoga, you’re all welcome and will be fully supported. We will be moving our bodies a lot on retreat so please let us know in your booking form if you have any injuries, health conditions or recent surgeries so we can cater for you.

Do I need to have a regular yoga practice to attend?

All of our retreats are availale to the beginner yogi to the advanced and the non-yogi partner or friend that is brand new to yoga. We are all about inclusivity and inspiring people to live their lives to the fullest in a healthy way.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! A yoga retreat is a great place to make new friends and meet like minded people. You are welcome to book a single room or we can pair you up with other solo travellers for a shared room if available. If for some reason there is no one to pair you with for a shared room, you would need to pay for a single room.

How many people will be on the retreat?

The group size varies depending on the destination and venue. Typically our experiences average between 10 - 16 students and ensure the perfect teacher to studio ratio so everyone feels supported and connected. The more students, the more teachers. We love to create an intimate environment to create community while still giving you the freedom to be able to do your own thing when you like.

What food can I expect on retreat?

Only the best! We love food and it is such an important part of the retreat experience. We work with our venues to curate a beautiful menu of fresh and local cuisines. Typically meals are communal and a time to connect and share. If you have any dietary or allergies, please let us know in your booking form.

Are flight and airport transfers included?

Flights and transfers are not included in the retreat price unless otherwise specified for your destination.

How do I get to the retreat venue?

We recommend flying into Pisa or Florence. From there you can catch the train to Siena followed by a 25 minute taxi to the venue.

How do I secure my space for the retreat?

For each retreat we require you to submit your booking form and make a non-refundable deposit to secure your space. Please follow the booking buttons above.

What should I bring?

We will provide you with a suggested packing list for each retreat. We always recommend a swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, walking shoes, journal, reusable water bottle and of course, comfortable athletic wear for duration of your retreat. We will let you know if you need to bring a yoga mat and props or if they will be provided by the venue.

Can I come early or stay longer at the venue?

We love when retreaters extend their retreat into a longer holiday! Staying onsite is dependent on what the venue allows. We will let you know when you book if this is available.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Please read our cancellation policy located on the booking form carefully prior to booking and paying for your €500 non-refundable deposit.

I have more questions, how do I get in touch?

We love questions! Please email us at hello@nectarflows.com and we will provide all the answers.

Absolutely brilliant! My Tuscan Yoga retreat with Nectar Flows exceeded all of my expectations. Janet and Amy are amazing yogis, wonderful teachers and simply fantastic people. They creat the perfect experience. This retreat had everything I ever wanted and hoped: beautiful, mindful yoga practices; absolutely delicious Italian food; a classic 13th century Tuscan farmhouse with spectacular views. But nothing prepared me for the gift of the awesome community of incredible human beings with whom I shared that week. So many new friends, great adventures and fun times, I am so thankful for every moment and wished it never ended. I can’t wait until the next one!
