Hygge Sweden Winter Retreat

Join Amy Baxter in Sweden for a winter escape to get cosy, rest, restore and unwind in nature.

Escape to a cozy winter retreat near Stockholm, nestled on an eco farm surrounded by a serene lake and forest. This peaceful sanctuary offers an opportunity to unwind and immerse yourself in nature. Embrace the Scandi lifestyle with an on-site sauna, and wild swimming right at your doorstep for the adventurous souls! Our retreat embodies the concept of 'Hygge,' a feeling of coziness and contentment found by cherishing the little things during winter. Surrounded by the lake, enjoy the calm and peaceful atmosphere with relaxing walks available from your doorstep. Let's unwind, reconnect, and "retreat" together. We love yoga, travel, and creating magic that can only happen on a retreat!

The Destination

The retreat centre is located in Sweden close to Stockholm surrounded by lakes and forests

Lindeborgs Eco Retreat offers a serene escape surrounded by a stunning lake and forest, outside of Nyköping. The retreat centre boasts a breathtaking view of Lake Hallbosjön and is located 120 kilometres from Stockholm.

Immerse yourself in nature while enjoying innovative agriculture and vegetable gardens, beekeeping, and flower meadows. The venue aims to prioritise the well-being of all life by utilising on-site biochar production and biological water treatment systems to create a healthy and thriving environment. A hundred-year-old barn, called the Eco Barn, is at the centre of the farm and has been renovated using sustainable and natural materials with a conscious design idea. The Eco Barn offers nine bedrooms, each equipped with an ensuite. There is a yoga space that overlooks the beautiful Lake Hallbosjön, an onsite sauna, and a conservatory glass dining room to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding scenery. You will feel at home, comfortable, and completely immersed in the moment while unwinding in this peaceful, beautiful, and sustainable environment.

Find Balance

The yoga shala is surrounded by nature to dive deep into the practice and find serenity

Our yoga studio provides a bright and airy atmosphere, with wooden flooring and a magnificent floor-to-ceiling window that offers a breathtaking view of nature's beauty. The peaceful and tranquil setting will help you enter a state of deep relaxation, allowing you to escape the stresses of daily life and unwind amid nature. We are all about balance on retreat, starting the day with an energising morning flow and winding down with restorative evening practices that will revitalise your body, mind, and spirit from the inside out.

Yoga Styles

Morning Flow

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.

Evening Mellow

Long, slow, and deep to bring balance, ease, and wholeness back into your practice. A combination of yin and restorative yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. These practices give you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is the practice of using different sounds and instruments to create a deep connection with yourself, and your intuition and improve your emotional well-being. Amy will guide you through sound healing sessions using pure quartz crystal singing bowls, incorporating mediation techniques, and using mantra and intention setting to allow you to dive deep into relaxation. Sound healing baths will be practised lying down using props to support the body, offering a space to rest, unwind and heal through the frequency of sound.

Gimme More

Throughout the retreat, there will be special yoga workshops as well as sprinkle-in pranayama and meditation experiences for a complete practice.

Feed the Soul

Just like yoga, a good meal nourishes all the senses and brings people together

We believe a retreat is only as good as the food! Our talented Chef Cecilia will be creating plant-based dishes that will revitalize your body and soul. Together, we have carefully curated a menu that will leave you feeling wholesome and rejuvenated. Our meals are designed to nourish your mind and body, with a focus on plant-based options.

We will begin our day with a delicious breakfast after yoga, followed by a light lunch, and end with a conscious feast in the evening. Our menu features locally-sourced ingredients and delicacies that are sure to delight your taste buds.

Our retreats are available to anyone who is wanting to take a week off from their busy life and experience a week of yoga, nourishing food and connect with like minded people in the most dreamy places. Whether you’re a regular practitioner or new to yoga, you’re all welcome and will be fully supported. We will be moving our bodies a lot on retreat so please let us know in your booking form if you have any injuries, health conditions or recent surgeries so we can cater for you.

Do I need to have a regular yoga practice to attend?

All of our retreats are availale to the beginner yogi to the advanced and the non-yogi partner or friend that is brand new to yoga. We are all about inclusivity and inspiring people to live their lives to the fullest in a healthy way.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! A yoga retreat is a great place to make new friends and meet like minded people. You are welcome to book a single room or we can pair you up with other solo travellers for a shared room if available. If for some reason there is no one to pair you with for a shared room, you would need to pay for a single room.

How many people will be on the retreat?

The group size varies depending on the destination and venue. This retreat will have a maximum size of 12 students for an intimate environment to create community while still giving you the freedom to be able to do your own thing when you like.

What food can I expect on retreat?

Only the best! We love food and it is such an important part of the retreat experience. We work with our venues to curate a beautiful menu of fresh and local cuisines. Meals are communal and a time to connect and share. If you have any dietary or medical considerations, please let us know in your booking form.

Are flight and airport transfers included?

Flights and transfers are not included in the retreat price unless otherwise specified for your destination. British Airways, Ryan Air and Norwegian Airways run direct flights from London to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. If you need assistance with flight suggestions please let us know we are happy to help!

How do I get to the retreat venue?

We suggest to take the fast train from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Stockholm. From Stockholm take a train to the city of Nyköping (1 hour). Arriving at Nyköping we can help organise a taxi for you to the venue (about 20 minutes). We love to help you with transport to make your journey as smooth as possible. A warm jacket and thermals (for winter walks), clothes your comfortable to practice yoga in, cosy jumpers, slippers, swimmers for your sauna to cold dip swims and a scarf, beanie & gloves!

Can I come early or stay longer at the venue?

We love when retreaters extend their retreat into a longer holiday! Staying onsite is dependent on what the venue allows. We will let you know when you book if this is available.
