Yoga and Music

The sweet sound of music! Anyone else love jamming out to music & dancing the kitchen?! Music is Music uplifts us. It inspires us to move, regulates our nervous system and makes us feel good. The combination of rhythm and sound supports us through many different stages of our lives and yoga practice. Traditionally sound has brought a deep spiritual connection to our practice through mantra and chanting. Instruments have brought our practice to life and help us move in harmony, through the sweet sound of the harmonium, gongs, crystal singing bowls and Tibetan bowls. Many studies have proved the impact music can have on the brain, lowering cortisol levels and enhanced cognitive function, which keep our monkey-minds at bay and cultivate deep awareness. The power of an uplifting, calming or grounding playlist can take our practice to the next level.

Below is just a taste of what keeps us moving on our mats.
