Amy’s Bio

The Destination

The estate is located in Tuscany, Italy: a bucket list destination, overlooking the rolling Tuscan Hills.

Ebbio Estate is within easy reach of nearby cities, including Siena (10km) and Florence (45km), and a short walk from Monteriggioni, in the heart of the region of Tuscany, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and heritage.

With a spacious indoor yoga shala, outdoor patio, and nine uniquely designed rooms with earthly colours and windows to enjoy the scenery of Siena. There are plenty of zen spaces to relax and unwind with hammocks on site, whether its sunbathing, reading or star-gazing, you will feel completely immersed.

The magical location offers seclusion and wanderlust surrounded by rolling hills and provides a true sanctuary in which to escape the pressures of busy life and explore the sights and sounds of this beautiful country.

The Organic Farm

Just like yoga, a good meal nourishes all the senses and brings people together.

We believe a retreat is only as good as the food! Meals will be served at large communal tables, with farm to table produce in the outdoor patio. Ebbio uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients, primarily grown on site, which is certified organic. The ultimate farm to table retreat. Their mantra is ‘food is medicine’, and their meals complement what’s in season at their farm. Mediterranean flavours meet new creations in their healthy and vibrant cooking.

We have worked closely with Ebbio and their chefs to create meals that are rich in nutrients, organic and vegetarian, to leave you feeling nourished and refreshed.

Find Balance

The yoga shala embraces heritage and earthy colours. The perfect space to dive deep into the practice.

With hardwood floors and a modern-rustic feel, you will be immersed not just in the practice of yoga but also the natural surroundings. Just like our yoga practice, Ebbio embraces history and tradition, with a cosy and welcoming feel. This retreat is all about balance. Farm to table produce with daily yoga. Wine tasting followed by bon-fire’s and live music by night!

Yoga Styles

Dynamic Flow

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe yin yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods of time to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. We believe in the balance, ease, and wholeness that Yin brings to students. These practices give you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Gimme More

Throughout the week we will include special yoga workshops with Amy as well as sprinkle in pranayama and meditation experiences for a complete practice.

Outdoor & Foodie Adventures

This retreat will be a cultural immersion in everything the area has to offer. We have planned some very special experiences including wine tastings at a local vineyard, taste local flavours with an onsite cooking class & enjoy a conscious feast with our live music & bon-fire night.

All of our retreats have ample free time so you can explore and rest at your leisure. Tuscany is famous for its culture and history. There is much to explore close by, including hot springs, local villages and many more vineyards to explore. On-site you will be able to hire a bike to have the freedom to explore or go for a hike to be truly immersed in nature under the Tuscan Sun.

And of course we’ll end every night lazying in a hammock under the stars!

We will be moving our bodies a lot on retreat so please let us know in your booking form if you have any injuries, health conditions or recent surgeries so we can cater for you.

Do I need to have a regular yoga practice to attend?

All of our retreats are availale to the beginner yogi to the advanced and the non-yogi partner or friend that is brand new to yoga. We are all about inclusivity and inspiring people to live their lives to the fullest in a healthy way.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! A yoga retreat is a great place to make new friends and meet like minded people. You are welcome to book a single room or we can pair you up with other solo travellers for a shared room if available. If for some reason there is no one to pair you with for a shared room, you would need to pay for a single room.

How many people will be on the retreat?

The group size varies depending on the destination and venue. Typically our experiences average between 15 - 24 students and ensure the perfect teacher to studio ratio so everyone feels supported and connected. The more students, the more teachers. We love to create an intimate environment to create community while still giving you the freedom to be able to do your own thing when you like.

What food can I expect on retreat?

Only the best! We love food and it is such an important part of the retreat experience. We work with our venues to curate a beautiful menu of fresh and local cuisines. Typically meals are communal and a time to connect and share. If you have any dietary or medical considerations, please let us know in your booking form.

Are flight and airport transfers included?

Flights and transfers are not included in the retreat price unless otherwise specified for your destination.

How do I get to the retreat venue?

We recommend flying into Pisa or Florence. From there you can catch the train to Siena followed by a 15 minute taxi to the venue.

How do I secure my space for the retreat?

For each retreat we require you to submit your booking form and make a non-refundable deposit to secure your space. Please follow the booking buttons above.

What should I bring?

We will provide you with a suggested packing list for each retreat. We always recommend a swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, walking shoes, journal, reusable water bottle and of course, comfortable athletic wear for duration of your retreat. We will let you know if you need to bring a yoga mat and props or if they will be provided by the venue.

Can I come early or stay longer at the venue?

We love when retreaters extend their retreat into a longer holiday! Staying onsite is dependent on what the venue allows. We will let you know when you book if this is available.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Please read our cancellation policy located on the booking form carefully prior to booking and paying for your €500 non-refundable deposit.

What If the retreat is cancelled due to covid-19?

Testimonials

An absolutely magical way to ring in the new year with daily yoga practice and wholesome food. Janet & Amy were amazing hosts and teachers that gave us the perfect blend of relaxing free time and planned yoga workshops in a rejuvenating location.
— Karen

My first yoga retreat experience was with Nectar. I joined the retreat by myself for the new year and although I experienced some anticipatory anxiety prior to arrival, I found everyone to be so lovely and welcoming from the first hello. To the retreat locations selected and the wonderful food in supply, Amy and Janet both have an amazing sense and taste for what retreat life should include. I will no doubt be spending another holiday with them and look forward to making new friends along the way.
— Katie

The retreat has been so fun and challenging. It’s been a good way to push myself outside of my normal realm.
