The Pure Practice Day Retreat to nourish your body and mind with a day of all things yoga in the heart of Sydney.

Because it was way too much fun the first time around, Nectar Yoga Escapes and Education want to share the Retreat love again and bring you a day of yoga, community and inspiration for all of our local yogis.

Join us Saturday Feb 5th 9am - 3pm for a day of dynamic yoga, yin yoga, mantra and yummy plant-based lunch.

The retreat is welcome to all levels. We cannot wait to spend the day with you!


Your Teachers

Janet and Amy will be guiding you through informative and educational practices to re-set & unwind from the daily hustle.

As experienced teachers, dedicated students and Nectar Founders, they bring kindness, wisdom, and humility into not just their teachings, but every conversation and interaction they have with the people and world around them.

They will both be teaching workshops exploring deeper aspects of yoga to give you new insight into your practice and yourself.

These kindred spirits create a space that is inclusive, loving, and fun and in doing so, everyone who enters their realm feels seen, valued and alive.

Location

A light filled community space in the heart of Darlinghurst.

Our Day Retreat will be nestled in Darlinghust at The Leela Centre on the corner of Crown and Oxford St.

This open and airy space is owned by a local couple with the space hosting yoga workshops and teachers from different backgrounds and lineages. They share the core beliefs that inclusivity is key, and community is everything.


Yoga Styles

Dynamic Flow

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe yin yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods of time to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. These practices give you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Mantra

Janet will guide you through a session of mantra and music. Through repetition and sound we will practice together to focus our attention and to create a sense of being, connection and oneness.

 

Nourish your body

Just like yoga, a good meal nourishes all the senses and brings people together.

We believe a retreat is only as good as the food! Your local health food store Health Nuts will be catering the event serving up a plant based feast.

Catering for allergies, please let us know upon booking of any dietaries or allergies.


A sample day on retreat

9:00am - 11:30am: Welcome & Dynamic Yoga Practice

11:30am – 12:30am: Group Catered Brunch

12:30am – 1:30pm: Mantra

1:30pm – 3:00pm: Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra

Please bring your own yoga mat, props, water bottle & towel.
